The planned new building at USM on the left. Groundbreaking will occur in mid-2015. The building will house the CCTVal researchers and students as well as the rest of the Physics Department. In addition to new physics teaching labs, the building will devote 450 m2 to our group's detector laboratory. The first major project in this space will be the upgrade of the muon system for the ATLAS experiment at CERN, in collaboration with Israel, Canada, China, and Russia.
